well i have a 97 millenia with 89k original miles on it and it has only four issues.

1. ABS light is on (but the ABS works)

2. CEL on because of O2 sensors (yet i replace them with known good ones from other mazda's and still no joy)

3. One of the tranny sensors is bad so i get an occasional slam from 1st to 2nd.

4. front lower control arms have bad rubber bushings on them.

Im selling it for $2000 to whoever wants it. Cant deal with it anymore.

2001 Millenia S with almost 58K miles. Owned the car since new. Replaced valve cover gaskets and spark plugs @ 54K miles. Other minor problems like steering PVC boot covers. New problem with my steering wheel tilt function. The wheel is stuck in the up position and I can't lower it. Quote from dealer comes to about $600 to replace the tilt motor with labor. Happy with the car and hope to keep it for at least another three years to 2011.

Got 2001 millenia s last year october
-map boost sensor and solenoid
-replaced 3 coils
-replaced 3 tires
-spark plugs at mazda $335
-valve cover gaskets(not dun yet)
-2 vaccum leaks till this day. Doesn't idle rite and turns off randomly.
-needs drive belts $315+tax

Year: 2002 non S, Brilliant Black with Tan Leather Interior
Problems: I purchased this car June 30, 2006. Since then, nothing has ever been terribly wrong with it. The timing belt was replaced at just over 100,000 miles. Then, this past summer it started making a squealing noise again and it was the timing belt tensioner that was going bad, so at like 130,000 miles, I had the tensioner and belt put on by the Mazda dealer because they couldn't just put on a tensioner without putting on a new timing belt. Other than that, no major problems. Which that's not a problem, but the first time the timing belt broke and left me stranded. That's the only problem. Now the EGR valve just needs cleaning and my knock sensors need to be changed and my CEL is on because of the knock sensors. Currently at 147,500 miles, no major problems whatsoever. Great car. If I could go back I would rather have had the S but I'm glad I didn't because I do a lot of traveling and the supercharger would probably be giving me a lot of trouble right now. Oh, the only other thing, brakes, rotors, and new battery, and little light bulbs to be changed here and there but that's with any car. I highly recommend a millenia to anyone.

Oh, I forgot, the catalytic convertor went out and my car was driving very sluggish and slow. But no other problems!

Bought the car about a year ago at an auction in Ontario Canada, had 250 km at that time.

Only problem was had to replace the power steering line, check engine light is on though. Usual maint; tires, brakes etc.

I am looking for the front and rear bumpers.

Runs and drives great, absolutely love the car.

1998 2.5
Mileage 226,000
I bought the car about 5 years ago with 124,000 miles. I had to put on a timimg belt, window switch, control arms upper and lower, right front axle, and some other kind of timing belt work. Now my transmission is going out. I like the car so I am trying to find a used automatic transmission. Any help os greatly appreciated.

2001 Millenia S

79,000+ miles never had one problem with this car and I have owned it since Jan 2005 got it with 46k and drive it local most of the time never left the state with the car and the only thing I've done is put a little knock in the trunk, some wheels and tint and done the regular services on it. I plan on keeping her for a while so I'm going to do the major work like timing belt, supercharger and all the common mechanical things while I'm working overseas making all this extra money cause I love this car!

92,000 miles and I haven't really had to many problems with the car. I bought the car with 74,000 miles on it back in 2006. I mainly only drive when I need to run arounds from school or if I'm making the long trip home. Here in the past year I've been catching up on maintenance since I'm not far off from 100k. So far I have replaced all the rotors with cross drilled rotors, new rear brakes, new valve cover gaskets, 19x7.5 ikons with 225/40 nankangs, new fuel pump, new gear box, new air sensor, new spark plugs, and new axles. I'm about to have a timing belt job done and a tranny flush, along with new struts and lowering springs all the way around. This summer I plan on installing a Hayden tranny cooler since the transmissions aren't that great in these cars. Car runs really strong and I look forward to having this car for at least another 50,000miles.
