Newbie--just bought a 1997 Millenia S with 103,000 miles on the odometer. It is running fine so far but the "Check Engine" light came on and is staying on. The car runs fine; plenty of power even with the CE light on.
So far the tires have been replaced with Yokohama Avid V4s.
Have only one key though. Have driven it 400 miles since it was purchased.
Plan to replace the timing chain or gear next week and check over the belts, etc.
Once in awhile I detect an odor of fresh oil. What can that be?

You guys want to talk problems!!..Well...For one I have a 98 MILL. Back in July i blew the heads on the engine..dotn ask..it was my mistake. $3,000 plus later for redoing the whole engine i pretty much only have 5,000 miles on the car since. However the meter still reads 124,000. After that fiasco..

The radiator
The Water Pump
The Oil pump
The Starter..twice
The timing belt and pulley..
All have been changed..all the money i had to hook up the car..GONE..
But the car still makes me smile when i blow by some idiot in a hooked up eclipse acting like he is Mario Andretti...Awesome car..but because i have a family now..its time to get an SUV.. but ....you never know...anyways...im Millenia for now..

PEACE

1998 Millenia S - 81,000 miles
I bought it in 2002 with 61,000

Major Work-
Transmission flush and new tranny filter
new O2 sensor on right bank

It is one, if not the only, best cars I have owned.

I've had my Millenia S for a whole week now. Bought it for $ 9,200 US dollars ($12,200 Loonies) and it has 121,000 kilometers which is 72,600 miles.

I've been a few hundred miles in it and the only complaints I have is the seat heaters don't work and the area around the petals is too cramped for my big feet.

I'm looking forward to NOT having any of the problems previously mentioned.

1999 Millenia with 62000 miles on it. I bout it in June of 02 with 31000 miles on it. I had a problem with the stock cd player, it wouldnt accept my cd's with any consistancy. It would spit them out as soon as I put them in there. I didn't bother to get that fixed because I put an after market stereo in there anyways. The only other problem I can think of is neither of my friggin keyless entry clickers work. I bought batteries for them but that didnt help. The guy at the dealership said there is some sort of magical way to fix this problem. Unfortunately, I am not Harry Potter, and I do not know any magic. Can't win them all.
