01 Millenia S
I have only had it for around a year now as I recieved it as a first car, currently has 78,000 on it Problems: had one problem with what I presumed was a belt issue in the engine possibly getting new brakes soon |

I have a 2002 Millenia S that I have owned since 0 miles
Now it reads 215000 miles ans I have never had the engine rebuilt. Soon I will do this as it leaks oil pretty bad... I decided to continue fixing it instead ot replacing the vehicle, it has been a great car! Wally |

my gf has a 95 2.5 with 182k, and i work on it pretty often. it has a ton of problems, and i pretty much just try to spend as little money as possible on it whilst keeping it running. junk yards are my friend. so far ive replaced two door sensors and the thermostat display, resealed the valve covers and replaced various service parts in the process. i dont know if the timing belt or pump has ever been changed, and i dont really have the motivation to pay for it or do it myself at the moment. its also been wrecked once apparently, but the damage looks relatively minimal. right now the main problems im having is the fuel gauge being stuck, leaking oil from somewhere between the valve covers and oil pan (too much trouble to fix), and recurring misfiring that i cant seem to get rid of. ive replaced the spark plugs and wires, and that hasnt seemed to take care of it so far.

Regarding the misfire you might want to replace the rotor and cap. Or at least clean the terminals in the cap. I had a bit of an occasional stumble at idle a while ago. I re-gapped the plugs and cleaned the cap terminals resulting in a nice smooth idle. Mine is a 95 2.5 with 184,000. Currently running, I suspect, much like it did the day it shipped out of Hiroshima.

i regapped the plugs also and applied dielectric grease to all the contact points because that was the cheapest option right now. i probably should clean the cap terminals as well. if that doesnt work, ill look into replacing the rotor and cap.

Year: 2000 mazda Millenia S Millennuim Edtion
Mileage: 128K Problems I've had: right now is the supercharger, and cracked intake tube how long have you had your Millenia: since feb, 4th, 2011. Ive owned a 1996 Millenia L as well til someone backed into my car and the stupid insurance declared it totalled. smashed headlights, bent hood, grille and thats it... ac worked, radiator still good... and they wouldnt fix it. go figure. |
