What up people. I have a question. I've started to notice something wierd going on with my car, maybe you guys can help. First off, I only use my car on the weekends, being that I use the subway Mon-Fri. I put about $12 of premium Amoco gas every week or two, never letting it get under the last quarter, and with gas prices still expensive, $12 gets my just under 3/4 of a tank full. Anyway, when I first bought the car, I never had a problem with gas mileage, then the fuel sending unit ****** up and changed both of them at the dealership. Then I changed air filters with a K&N drop in. Then I changed the fuel filter located in/under the trunk, everything to see if I can get better gas mileage, and for a while, I thought I was, but lately I've noticed that my car sucks gas like no tomorrow. I drive my car about 11 miles to my boys' crib, turn off the car, and when I come back and turn on the car, I notice that the gas gauge goes down more than it should. Go back to my crib, another 11 miles, and the gauge needle goes down more. Almost 1/4 tank on 22 miles???!!! According to the manual, the car is supposed to provide 28 mpg highway, and 20 mpg city driving. I've heard (rumored maybe??) that the Millenia has 2 not 1 fuel filter. Is this true? I have a 96 S. Also, could it be the fuel injection, (maybe I'm just paranoid) but sometimes when I'm driving, I step on the gas/accelerator and like I feel I very slight jerk like the car picking up more power. Is this common? or is something going in the car? Like I've said, when I got the fuel sending units changed, I got the whole car checked out by the dealer, and the engine, transmission were all fine. I wasted 2 g's fixing bullshit things, but not major components. Anyway, maybe one of you guys know about the second fuel filter, if there is one, or why my gas mileage is so shitty. Thanks. . . . . peace.

There is only 1 fuel filter. cost me $40 to replace parts and labor. the gas mileage you are experiencing is normal. check engine light is always on just ignore it til it starts blinking
