Hello all:
I just got this 98 mazda millenia, off an auction, with 40k on it.
Anyways, i took it to Pepboys to have them check the ac, cause i think it was overcharged and have them replaced the radiator hoses, and change the headlights, some werent working.
Anywyas, the came back saying they couldnt change the lights, there were too many wiring around and that i would have to take it to an electrical shop.
They said ac was overcharged and that i should drain it and recharge it.
They said they were going to change the hoses.

They said while trying to changed the bottom radiator hose, there were a few bolts missing.
THEN they came back and said, OOPS car doesnt start anymore@!!!! and they cannt figure it out. Had it towed to an electrical shop since thats what they thought that problem was. The shop said i need a new distributor, that i was not getting any spark at all. So its gonna cost like $680 bucks out the door. Taxes, diagnostic test , labor and part.

My question is, do you guys think this is all a coincidence or that Pepboys screwed up the distributor by mistake. I dunno how a distributor goes bad, or how it gets damaged. Im thinking that maybe te pressure washt the engine before i bought it and water may have caused the problem, but before i took it to the shop that car was running just fine.

So i dunno whther this is all acoincidnece or pep-boys screwed me up. Please advise.

if it was working before you brought it there and stopped there they probably did something wrong. Its gonna be a uphill fight to get reimbursed so have fun

Pep boys might have gotten you. Thats why I don't trust those hicks.

next time spend the $680 in one place and go to the mazda dealer

first of all which pepboys is this???? they are dicks.. Did u complain??? u should hav. usually if pepboys screws up your car they hav to fix it, i hav seen it done before...i should kno becuz dats where i work there. its not right.
