I have 2000 2.5. My check engine light comes on an stays on. I plan on going to the dealership tomorrow. Checked all my fluids and they are fine. Does this light come on at 60,000 miles or is there a major problem. THe car runs fine.

It may be oxygen sensors detecting something unusual. Have you put any additives in your fuel lately, or used less than 91 oct?

Well i just checked my car and the light is off now. I have not put any additives in. I use phillips 66 gas middle grade, 99% of the time. Does any one now how much the 60,000 mile service cost. I also get a loud screech win I crank up my car. It only happens about once every two weeks though.

I don't know about prices or anything, but if you get your car checked out at the dealer, they will most likely charge you just for doing the computer analysis. If you take it to Auto Zone or PepBoys or somewhere like that, I don't believe they charge for the check.

The loud screech you are hearing may be from your belts or belt tensioner. Does it always happen on cool mornings or everytime you start the car until the car warms up?
