Thumbs up

I believe someone mentioned this problem before, but I noticed the other day when I set my alarm off accidently, the headlights flash. For people with HIDs, the repeated igniting and shutting off of the headlights is bad. I know that alarms don't go off that often but you never know! Is there a way around this?

Yo man... I wouldn't suggest this mod. Removing the lights from the alarm would make it difficult to determine what car is sounding off where there is a panic. Additionally the lights don't flash when doors are locked and unlocked. I don't expect this current connection should give you much trouble with your new lights unless you live in Miami or New York where cars are vulnerable to theft.

yes there is a way.......go to wire and get the alarm wire diagram for ur car.......there u should get the color and location of the headlight wire(under the dash).... now look for the wire and examine it and u should see where the alarm installers connected the alarm to the headlights there might be a relay, jus cut the wire attached to the headlight wire..:: but be prepared if u cut the wrong wire to join it bak up... and dont forget to disconnect the battery b4 doing any of this.

i dont think u can cut a wire from the alarm module or anything... there's basically like four wires coming out of the unit. i think 1 wire goes to the computer.. and the computer makes the lights flash and stuff...

how are your hids wired? you have another relay and stuff right? or is it just using the factory bulb harnesses? if you rewired them and have an external relay, install a switch to cut the ground wire or something, so the headlights won't go on unless you have the switch on.... doing this will also make the fogs stay on by themselves, if u drive around with the switch off
