Thumbs up

I have a 97 milly and my fog lights dont work. I tried different bulbs and still dont work. I hear the clicking sound inside the hood when i turn the switch on and nothing happens. Checked the fuse and is also good. Does anyone have this problem with their car? Did anyone fix the problem? I need help.

i had the same cliccking sound...but it was when my battery died, and i got it when i turned on a lot of power i.e. headlights or system, but my corners were fine, when i opened the door, the courtesy lights came on and everything. Check your lights when it gets dark to see if they are really dim. It may be the battery.

OK, so you checked the fuse and it's fine. You said you hear the relay clicking so that means the relay is fine and the switch/button is fine. That leaves 3 possibilities that I can think of:

1. You forgot to plug the bulbs back in like Clue said.
2. You plugged the bulb back in, but forgot to reconnect the black grounding block that the bulb plugs into back to the fog light.
3. Your fog light sockets are faulty, maybe rusted away. But it's unlikely for both of them to do this at the exact same time.

So check 1 and 2. This is how they should be connected:

The click means that the solenoid inside the relay is working. However, it is still possible for the contacts inside the relay to be burnt out. You need to check the switched side of the relay with a test lamp or voltmeter to be sure.

Or just replace the relay!
