mazda millenia - 1995-2002

Not exactly a replacement for the 929, and not exactly a giant step up from the 626 it shared major parts with, Mazda's conflicted Millenia luxury sedan ended up becoming something special on its own terms. Known by most for its spectacular styling and the unique Miller Cycle engine, it has become a cult classic among both Mazda fans and lovers of interesting automobiles.

The Millenia only endured one generation from 1995-2002 (the "TA" model), but with a major facelift and update during that time.

NOTE 1: You can find the paint code for your car by opening the driver's door and looking for a sticker on the door post with the code listed on it. Two-tone cars, naturally, will list the main code as well as both the primary and secondary color codes. Note that Mazda switched from two to three digits during this period. And no, I don't know why there are three different codes for Brilliant Black - if anyone knows the difference, your input would be appreciated.

NOTE 2: Mica is simply Mazda's term for what most people would call a pearlescent or "pearl-coat" finish - the paint carries flecks of mica or mother-of-pearl that cause the color to "glow" (for lack of a better description) in sunlight. Metallic finish is similar, but uses flecks of metal instead that cause the paint to just sparkle rather than glow. Solid finishes are just that - pure color with no enhancements.

NOTE 3: If you have any additions or corrections to this list, please feel free to reply here or PM me. Keep in mind that this list represents codes for the North American market, though I suspect international production (for the Xedos 9 and/or Eunos 800M) should be similar - they were all built in the same plant, after all. Source for the color codes is the incredibly useful PaintScratch.com site. Also, if anyone knows a good site with codes for interior colors, please let me know!
