OK...Question

What kind of oil should I be using? My friends and I all drive vettes and we're all a little weird about only using Mobil 1. I'm curious as to what everybody uses in these cars.

All Millenias were equipped with an electronically-controlled four-speed overdrive automatic transmission. This setup included a switch for "economy" or "power" modes and a "hold" button to allow staggered shifting for special conditions.

My '95 L does not have a power or economy switch, only the hold button.

I didn't realise any of them have power/economy mode - neither of my Mazdas do, but both have Hold. I like to shift manually using Hold anyway.

My 95L does not have a power or economy switch either. Where is it?

Also, I was at a salvage yard the other day tearing up a 95L. It had leather seats, a moonroof, heated seats, and the trunk CD changer, but the head unit and speakers were all branded panasonic not bose, and the wiring was different from the bose wiring.
HUH????

Also, I use mobil 1

Power/Economy switch is actually underneath the accelerator pedal. Press the gas to the floor for "power mode."

Bose never made the headunit, just the speakers and amps. I think the same Panasonic HU just got branded Bose a model year or two after '95 to give a better visual indication of the Bose option's presence. I have the same HU marked "Panasonic," (I don't have the Bose option) but I've seen the same one marked Bose before. It powers all 5 speakers on its own.

Is that switch a small knob or something? Does the options available in all millenia?

The power/economy switch is sort of a misnomer. There's a large round "button" on the firewall that gets depressed when the accelerator is pressed to wide open throttle. You can reach behind the accelerator pedal and press it in manually when the car is parked. Press the accelerator slowly through its entire range with the engine off...you can feel the last half-inch of travel has a bit of initial resistance...that's "power mode."
