Now, anything with Dexron III or II on the label has to be preceded by something like "suitable for use in transmissions calling for...". Anything that is labeled "Dexron VI" has to use a preapproved additive package and sold with a GM-issued license number to ensure quality control.
Thanks for that bit of enlightenment. So then is the Dex VI a synthetic? or just a more advanced trans lub? This must have been there answer to the Chrysler's +4 oil. Is this oil, Dex VI on the market or just certain places. I know that the filters are special orders so maybe the oil will be also. Thanks again for your help.

Dexron VI blends are typically full or partially "synthetic" (Group III) to meet the base oil performance requirements established by GM. Dexron VI was a little hard to come by a couple of years ago but you should be able to get it just about anywhere now. It can be had for less than $5 a quart if you buy the SuperTech brand Dexron VI from Walmart or Sam's Club. Name brand Dexron VI typically goes for around $7 a quart or more. The Millenia transmission uses a mesh screen filter that doesn't have to be replaced but can be if so desired.

Hey guys, new to the forum. I received a 1998 Mazda Millenia S from my Mother as a graduation present last year, she got an Infiniti FX35 back in '05 and it was sitting til she gave it to me. I was just curious, I saw a thread about a 2002 Milly tail light conversion with the trunk garnish, could I just pull the garnish off a 2002 and slap it on my 1998? Also, are there any lowering springs available for Millenias?

Yep. The 1999-2000 tails are also a significant improvement but don't require swapping the trunk panel.

There are but most if not all are out of production. There is old stock still floating around with Eibachs the easiest to come by. There's also a coilover kit available from KSport. There's a group buy thread pinned on it.

I've got a good one.

I have a 2.5l KL that came with a KLK1 ECU. I was wondering what "Milly" it came from, what year and most importantly, how many o2 sensors the ECU would need?

Thanks!

Look under the millenia section, there is a sticky thread titled "component locations".
