Well done! How it is done in factory I don't know, they probably have special tools. Anyway a lot of assembly is done by hand.

FSM doesn't make sense, I imagine they mean 150 ft which equals around 45,7 metres...

Surely it is to make the liners wear in towards the drums, as I mentioned. I've never seen the FSM though.
I say pull them on occasionally while driving (within reason) even after that to keep them drums nice and shiny [/b]

...the friction material from getting too dirty until the point where they wont hold the cars weight. There are several special tools to work on these and drum brakes, for instance those retaining clips which hurt your fingers after a while have a special tool that makes that alot easier.
