They are 18x7.5 with +52 offset and 225/45R18s. My other (winter) wheels are 17x7 with the same offset and the wheel lip is probably half as wide. I wasn't expecting that.

When I placed the order, I specified that the vehicle was a 2007 Mazda 6 to get the higher offset. Plug in a Millenia, and TireRack wants to sell you a +48 offset wheel instead.

Very nice wheels! I probably would have preferred 48 offset though. Surely they wouldn't rub either?

There should still be plenty of fender clearance with +48 offset wheels, even with a 235 tire.

Sure, I run 43 offset with 235s remember. 7" rims though. I jacked one of the rear wheels high in the air to check the clearance, with added bonus of front clearance check at the same time. I plan on an offset/wheelwidth reference thread with pics

I can reveal my rear clearance to the fender is give or take 10 mm with my current setup, with close to fully compressed suspension. When unloaded, my tire sides are sub 10 mm inside the fender edge, which I find perfect. If I had chosen 7,5" rims, it would have been a very tight fit, but probably just not rubbing. The rear suspension gets a fairly big negative camber during full compression, it helps a lot to avoid rubbing.

Yeah they're clones of the forged two-piece RS-GTs, an old-school favorite that's been around a while so doesn't look out of place on the distinctively 1990s profile of the Millenia...or the BMW E39.

I admit I've had 17x7.5" wheels with +35 offset on this car. Looks a bit odd, but with 215/50s there's no rubbing. I have a pic of the tire tucking behind the rear fender somewhere. These cars are quite forgiving with tire/wheel fitment.

I agree that the wheels look good because thay are from the same era as the car.

did you paint the center caps blk? ever consider trying to fit some mazda center caps in there, maybe some from one of their suvs would fit...

Looks very nice with the springs indeed. I love again the hidden wiper blades, looks glorified. Next thing should be 95-96 projectors with HIDs...
