After selling some stuff on craigslist I went and bought a boost gauge. I can think of 2 good places to hook up the line for the gauge:The vac line coming off the supercharger behind the front fuel rail,or the vac line on the front intake manifold.Much to my suprise when I hooked everything up and started the car,NOTHING. I hooked the gauge up at several different locations and still got no reading. It does have wiring for the lights in the gauge. I have 3 questions.1. where do I hook up the line for the boost gauge, and 2. If I don't hook up the wiring for the lights does that mean the gauge won't work at all,and 3. if I do have to wire it up can it be wired into the dimmer switch in the dash?.It's a Sunpro boost gauge CP7013.

It will work best if you T it off of the front intake manifold. Is it a boost gauge or a boost/vacuum gauge? If it is just boost you will need to floor it to see a reading, boost/vacuum will show you everything. If that doesn't make it work, the gauge is probably electric and not mechanical so you will need to hook up the wires to see it work.

It's a boost gauge. Can it be wired into the dimmer switch on the dash or do I have to do it somewhere else?

I went and looked up the model and it is an electrical boost gague. The sending unit has an NPTF fitting, do you have their kit or an adapter to T it into the vacuum line? There should also be 4 wires: red, black, blue, and white. Red goes to 12v, Black goes to chassis ground. At that point the gauge should work but not light up. The Millenia has positive dimmer controls if I remember right, so the blue wire goes to ground and the white wire goes to the dimmer voltage.

The 4 wires are on the dimmer switch, because the gauge only has the blue and white.

There should be 4 wires on the gauge and then the sending unit has a wire that plugs into the gauge. It isn't very clear in the install manual where the wires are exactly, it looks like they all come out of the same spot opposite of the sending unit plug, but they should all be on the gauge itself. Did you get it new or used?

I bought it new.The only wires that came with it were the ones coming out of the back of the gauge and a small extension to wire it into the dimmer switch as shown in the installation diagram,it only varies depending on if you have positive or negative dimmer controls.

Here is what I have been looking at for the info:
http://www.sunpro.com/publish/2007/09/27/p...glish_16432.pdf
Is that the same one you are going by?

The blue and white wires are for the lighting only which you will use the first configuration for positive dimmer controls. Then on the second page in Figure 3 it shows the red and black wires which you will need to have connected to power (ignition switched) and ground for the gauge to be functional. Once those are hooked up and the sending unit is connected, the gauge will work whether or not you have the lighting hooked up.
