My $700 Craigslist Discovery

As many may know, I purchased a 2001 S model off craigslist as a no runner and listed as bad supercharger. Well when I first saw it I was just browsing through Craigs and saw a 2001 S for $700 with no pics and all it said was needs supercharger wont start. There was no number just an email. I looked at the time it was listed and it only was listed 2 hours prior to me seeing it. I immediately sent an email requesting a phone number and some pics, I thought it was just to good to be true. I got an email back the next day with a phone number and i gave it a call. A female answered the phone and told me it was her car and the supercharger was bad so it wont stay running. She told me she didnt have a camera so she couldnt take any pics but she told me I could come look at it any time. I did a mapquest on her address and the car was located in Philadelphia about 45 mins away from me so I jumped on the highway at 7:30pm and headed to philly. I got there saw the car on the corner with 2 flats and a cloud of dust on it. The minute I saw it I said **** yeah this is mine. I tried to start it, it wouldnt run but it was turning over good. I thought to myself I dont think its the supercharger but I def didnt tell her that. I didnt even try to negotiate the price at all. I told her I wanted it. I went straight to the ATM, pulled the money out and gave her $700 cash. The next morning I rented a trailer from uhaul and went back and picked her up. After a new fuel pump she is now up and running good. It does have a winding sound coming from the engine that I believe to be the timing belt tensioner. The front bumper is also peeling bad but that is already in the plans for getting repainted next week. There are dings around the body but hey, for $700 I cant complain at all. Well here she is, my little craigslist project.

Wow, that's an awesome deal! I love those 'too good to be true' deals that end up being true. So did you have to replace the flat tires or did they just pump back up? How many miles does it have? Are you planning on keeping it or selling it for profit? You've already got two, how many can one person use?

The tires pumped right up. She said the car was sitting for a few months so I guess they just went flat from sitting. It has 106K on the mileage. I dont know if I am going to keep it yet or not. And I dont have two anymore, I sold the 99s about 2 months ago. So now just got the 02L with 66k on it and my escalade.
