My 98 Millenia S has been overheating for a while now. I took it to a local Strauss & they couldn't find anything wrong with it. They ran the engine for about 1 hour but the temp did not budge. It usually heats up during stop & go traffic.
I bought 3 gallons of Prestone 50/50 coolant to replace just to give it a shot at a different shop but the mechanic told me (visually) the coolant looks fine. He checked under hood & noticed the radiator seemed kind of small. I remember I replaced the radiator like 2 years ago at a local shop.

Could a smaller radiator be the culprit for my overheating issues?

If so, anyone know a good after market radiator since an OEM cost over $400 at the dealer if I decide to change it?

I bought a cheap aftermarket radiator to replace an original one and the sizes were identical. I doubt that's the problem. If you've replaced the thermostat with an original equipment Mazda one already, the problem might be the water pump. Usually they just leak when they fail, but it's not impossible that it could have impeller damage.
