I would think so but then again i've never tried it myself. That is nearly 16 seconds. hmmm.. Any mods to the engine and exhaust?

Should be quicker, I think. Does it feel restricted. I'm assuming you had it floored.
Not to be douche but that's an expensive ticket, this is first hand knowledge. They use term like willing reckless endangerment

yeah that is kinda slow. Maybe trying the +hold function should improve things?

I dont go above 80 usually, once a year maybe. It was 3 am and just wanna wake up Using hold may improve. The first 4-2 shift seems not so useful and slow.

you're right in that it should be faster. Also, second gear runs out at about 70, so that downshift is helping even less. i tried my '02 milly S this morning and i can tell you that 16s is several seconss slower.

I think the reason it took so long is that you were crusing along at 60 and most likely in 3rd (at the begining of the video you see what appears to be a downshift). If you had floored it from first the result would be very different as the car would hold the gears much longer. Most of the power on the Milly (2.5 not sure about 2.3) is not available before 2.5 - 3k. So as you're crusing along at 60 you're in 3rd, you press on the accel. causing the tach to climb then you upshift to fourth, which as we all know is really too tall and lacks any sort of real pulling power.
Torque is the real measure of top gear acceleration and the milly has none. The solution is to force a lower gear or increase rev's. Its almost always easier/faster to get a lower gear making it the perferred method here.

Now all that is conditional of course because I based the above statement on you being in 3rd. I noticed that the tach seemed to 'jump' around a bit after what seemed to be one distinct gear change can you confirm which gear you were in at 60? It seems to me that you lifted slightly on two occasions can you confirm this as well?

I would say that was a 4-2 shift, then a 2-3 shift, and back to 4 at the end. I have never done a 60-100 speed up like that so I don't know if that is too slow or not. Your 0-60 seemed to be right on though. I would say the best acceleration is a 40-70 from what I have experienced.

I actually hit 100 pretty often with Miami's new I-95 express lanes (no cops on it at all). It does seem a little sluggish though. When I do it again ill record it.

No one has had the pleasure of driving a truly slow car? Sluggish acceleration above 100mph? My first car wouldn't even reach 90mph. With an extra gear, this car is probably 140mph capable, which is respectable today and well above average 15 years ago when the Millenia was in its final stages of development and beginning production.

Also, horsepower makes the car go and the engine just isn't making its peak horsepower when the gearbox forces it to work at less than 5,000 revs. Such large swathes of the speedo are covered while the rev counter is hovering below 5,000 revs. The engine only produces about 85% of its peak horsepower output right after a shift because of the widely spaced gears. And that doesn't count what hp the auto gearbox robs and converts to heat during shifts and during acceleration.
