Guys, I have a 2001 Mazda Millenia 2.5 with 94k on it and all original suspension. I sometimes hear a clunking noise from the front suspension when I go over bumps. The ride does not seem to be as smooth as it used to be and I can't seem to take curves like I used to. I also think that there is less traction with the front tires on take-off than there used to be. I've had her in to a couple shops and they all tell me after a test drive and thorough inspection on the lift that everything is real tight with the suspension and there are no leaks from the struts. I still know that something is not right.

Is it just time to replace the struts or is there something else I should try first. I'm not interested in lowering the vehicle, but am interested in getting a good ride and not spending a ton of money on it.

If you do decide to get the coilovers, you can have the car at stock height, retain a nice solid ride and be able to take corners much better.

Trashed, basically they can go lower than you can physically drive if you wanted. A nice drop is somewhere around 1.5-2.5 inches all around for the millenia. I'd opt for 3 inches or more, but then again, I am a crazy suspension guy.
