Cold Air Intake /Short Ram

This is my official Cold Air Intake / Short Ram Thread.
Much of this was posted before but I have since changed a few things and would like to keep everything together for a clean searchable thread.
I have sent out all the trial/evaluation intakes to all that agreed to help me out with write-up and unbiased feedback. I look forward to hearing from those.

They are officially for sale now!

Specs:
3” diameter 6061 Mandrel Bent Fully Polished Aluminum Tubing (by myself)
16 gauge
Tig welded vacuum fittings
Vibration Dampers
Hi-Flow reusable/washable air filter
Stainless Steel Clamps
Hi Temp silicon couplings

EDIT: I have had many requests to break up kits and sell just tubing and such. I will NOT break up any more kits. The product was designed to be a simple bolt on "kit". My parts are ordered in batches. By breaking the kit up I am left with lots of odds and ends that are virtually worthless to me.

If you want something custom done I can fabricate anything for you just as long as you are prepared to cover the associated costs of a single one off piece. I will weld and bend anything you want to any configuration. I can only keep the prices on the custom CAI and Short ram within my budget/target price due to buying things in bulk and batch processing them all at once.

Here are the finished pictures and some small notes on installation. In time I will put together a clear concise start to finish document on the install. It is pretty self explanatory but I understand some made need some pointers here and there. I tossed all my factory intake plastic pieces so these pics are more of a “post removal of factory component” install. If you can remove all the factory parts you can install this intake.

Your rubber grommet will need to be pulled off your factory air box and inserted in the intake (both CAI and Short ram) for your intake temperature sensor

Because we will be throwing away our factory airbox this little solenoid needs a new place to sit.
I zip tied him to one of my harnesses.

Underneath:
There are three threaded holes in the frame rail. One of your dampers included in the kit will need to be installed on the lowest threaded hole.

Your loop clamp will be bolted to this damper.

View from above.

Your second damper will be installed where one of the underbody splash shield’s bolts pass through. The welded bracket on the intake will bolt to this damper.

Short ram pics:

If you install the short ram your wiring harness will need minor relocation. You will need to unclip it and redirect it behind the battery bracket so that the IAT will plug into the intake.

Prices:
The Cold Air Intake is $185 and comes with everything you need for a bolt on install.
The Short Ram kit is $100 and comes with everything you need as well.

If you purchase the Cold Air Intake system and would like to have the option of switching to a short ram I will offer an upgrade where for an extra $25 I will throw in the welded tubing for the short ram. All your “true” Cold Air Intake parts will switch over.

Buyer is responsible for actual shipping charges by any method you choose.

Please update this thread if you are interested. I ask that if you commit please do not back out. It makes it terribly difficult on my end when it comes to logistics.
