I was driving uphill and my CEL turned on then hold started flashing.

P1743 Torque Converter Clutch Failed On
P1524 CAC solenoid

ATF color and level are fine.
CAC solenoid is shot and I already knew the issue. BUT TCC was fine. Does anybody know what it really means?

Open or short with the TCC solenoid. Need to check all related electrical connections between TCC solenoid and TCU. If those are fine, the TCC solenoid can be tested with an ohm meter (20-40 ohms is normal). Mazda has a special tool that interfaces with the TCU to check TCC operation.

If I remove the battery can I test the solenoid? It locks fine now but I am scared it will start to do it every now and then. If I ohm it and see it is not 45 ohm I can omit it for now.

If the TCC solenoid is working ok now and there's no code after clearing it, I wouldn't worry about it unless it happens again.
