I'm afraid while waiting something might happen to the car... The car will still be driven everyday... What do you think?

I think it is a good idea to replace all 6 given age and milage. I also think driving is harmless unless you experience misfiring. Wrap up the wire with insulating tape.

Going back to topic; I'm sure the Civic is reliable but what about chrash protection? That era Civic is amongst worst ever built, at least the tudor euro banger...

Nabil, I'd just go ahead and get new wires and plugs. That'll save you another headache down the road. If the plug is dead anyway you'll just have to get a set of 6 and get wires to match. No sense in getting one new plug/wire. It's kinda like getting a motor rebuilt and only the top end is rebuilt. After awhile its going to stress out the bottom in an POWIE! you've slung a rod... I know, i've done it... TWICE

Hehehe Milly_00 you are funny...

Well guys, I ended up going to the Mazda dealer close to my house today and asked if they sell one plug and they DID lol... I'm happy... I ordered cyl#3 wire for $35... To me this is better than $100 at this time.... So tomorrow it will arrive hopefully and I will plug it in.

The reason why I didn't want to buy the whole set is that I need to fix the problem that caused this... Which is oil leak through the valve cover gasket. So I don't see a point spending $100+ on plug wire set while I still have not fixed the main issue... I might get another wire busted later on.

So the money I will save now, will use them to buy VCG's gaskets to fix the car soon... You know the gaskets cost fortune alone lol.

After I fix the leak, I will give the car new wire set but believe me, the wires I have now, are good. Or if I don't the gaskets, at least with the money I saved I can get plugs which I haven't even checked since I bought the car. You see my point? I'm not being cheap on the car lol :P just prioritizing what needs to be repaired first.

I think we went off topic a lot lol... BTW Xedos, I can't put tape on there or actually I didn't want to because the crack is on the boot... I was afraid of putting tape there and the tape gets melted and or stuck to the engine walls and end up with a worse problem.. So yes it is misfiring as it drives... You can feel it when accelerating... When cruising it doesn't really show.

DEFINITELY UNDERSTAND about the VCGs. And thats amazing that the dealer actually could sell you a plug/wire. Nice prioritizing. Leaky gaskets can be annoying. I HAVE ONE! YAY!!!

I have a VCG leak as well, not a bad one at all though. It's on the front VCG's that are directly visible when you open the hood. I was told to check if my bolts on the top of the....I actually don't know what its called but the bolts around the where the spark plug wires stick out of, check if they're loose because they are by the cooling system so they get hot-cold, hot-cold and the bolts loosen. I did check and they were kinda loose, so I tightened them up a bit. But back to the purpose of that rant: If the bolts are loose that can lead to the seals not being closed all the way and oil leaking into the gaskets. I just did it today, and I cleaned off my spark plugs, and have to take a trip tomorrow so I'll know in a few days if it worked or not, but could that actually work to stop the problem?

I don't think tightening the bolts will solve the problem... But maybe.

So what happened with the guy!? Which car did he buy!?

I ended up buying a '97 Honda Accord automatic with all power options and keyless entry. It has 154K on it but drives smooth and has a good transmission. I know it has a lot of miles on it but after a test drive I found no problems. It has a new timing belt, battery and rear suspension. Price: 3200

Checked KBB and autocheck. It was all good.

Thanks so much for your comments and help. I really appreciate it.
