I guess they are called coolant pipes, someone with EPC should be able to help you find part numbers. When I replaced my sensor, I recieved an entire set of O-ring seals, for different cars, but only the bigger one for the Xedos. So I reinstalled the old, smaller one. No issues with that so far. Be sure to lubricate the seals prior to reinstall. I used silicone grease. WD40 should work too.
The IM gaskets should definitely be replaced. Torque up in steps, 25 Nm from center moving out to each end.

well x man; seems rock auto call it "coolant crossover mounting set" ..not really sure & the guy at rock either ..I ordered anyway (cheap) hoping that any of the 6 o-ring seals fit my application...
Hey bud I'm gonna start my fix with ur tutorial by my side...thanks 4 that .. by the way, u say to apply sealant to weak areas only but in the last pic, the one before torquing, looks like u sealed the whole side .. am I right? i'm tempted to seal both sides of the gaskets with a slight film of sealant & the weak areas as u described .. any opposition to this .. man is gonna be a big kick on my fat & flatulent arse if that rear valve cover comes leaking again ... thanks xedosman !! |

I'm glad my guide comes handy
![]() I'm at my cell, dunno which pic right now but its probably the end facing away from the timing side you mean? I applied sealant only to the two halfcircles and like half an inch beyond, which means like half the surface. My rear cover still seals 100% perfect; I'd say sealant all over is overkill
