Default Milly S vs Mustang V6(2000)

You think I will be able to take him ? He has a CAI and its an auto, so he makes about 196-200 bhp up from 193 bhp(or 190 ??). But I had my cat replaced with a straight pipe which would net about 6-8 hp, so I would have about 217. I usually have next to nothing in my car or trunk too and the engine has been well taken care of and I run 91 for optimal performance and mpgs. I know the Mustang V6 manual does 0-60 in 7 second range and would probably beat me, the auto is much slower, 8-9 second range in 0-60, since my friend has a CAI it would be closer to 8. The Milly S runs 7.8-8.5, mine would be more in the high 7 and low 8s(95-00> 01-02), but the Mustang weighs 300 lbs less ??

Street racing isn't cool. Ensure that you only race on a closed course designed for such use - and you have the proper safety equipment in use.

This has been your public service message for today.

Yeah, hes being really cocky, it would be really nice if I beat him. But he would probably run like 100 mph+ on public streets, which is just plain stupid. If he started going that fast then I would just slow down and watch him get pulled over and have his license revoked... I do not want to wreck or die, but thats just me. The rear end of my milly sort of kicks out when I am turning and hit a weird bump or divot, plus it has skinny all-season 215 tires so I wouldnt trust it at those speeds, it is stable at highway speeds though, plus I dont want to get a ticket, never had one and dont plan on getting one anytime soon... 0-50 in a 50 mph speed limit isnt that bad, plus theyre both slow cars so it may take awhile to get to the speed limit.

I've raced an 04 Grand Prix s'charged with 260hp and 280lb-ft. max torque/power (rpms) are comparable to my S.

We raced on a deserted back road. That was the day I got some crazy smoke from my front tires. He took off in front of me but he could never leave me. We both was running 91, and both have a 4 spd. I think it has something to do with GM's pushrod motors. Either way for some reason he couldnt leave me nor could he make a wider gap. Then I noticed my car would slowly start to creep up on him. I got a post on it. I couldnt understand why, but I was happy. It was a 50HP, 70lb-ft torqe gap between us. I give the credit to my firm, crisp shifting tranny and miller cycle. He stills talks mess about the race saying he'll burn me anyday of the week. But what he doesnt realize is that of course he's going to beat me, but if we had enough road It'd be a tie. My car is WAY more efficient than his. And at the time of the race BOTH were in optimal condition. There's a link on it. So I'm sure you can take a crappy V6 stang.

Hey guys, I was just kidding about street racing. If you read through my car rental thread, you'll see that the Sonata I used for a few days went up against a TRD Toyata pickup with enhanced exhaust and lots of "fast" racing stickers on it (LoL).

You'd think at nearly 47, I'd know better.
