200K Club

I hit the 200K mark today!! I feel like celebrating about it, as it's been on my bucket list for a long, long time. In my 36 years of driving (oh man, I'm almost old!), I've given up on nine cars that didn't have the stuff to go this far.

I'll admit, when I was younger, I didn't take care of them well enough to make it this far. But I've really been trying for more than half of those years.

I see a number of members here have hit that mark, and even 300K! That makes sense since the kind of people who would take care of their property can be expected to be at forums like this.

But 200K is definitely uncommon in the general population. Anyone who does it should definitely celebrate too!

CONGRATS! And he is going "0" mph. I pulled over when my 626 hit 200K. Actually took a frontage road so I could just stop and snap the photo. Drove around with a camera for about a week to make sure I didn't forget it. Kinda funny looking back now. But when you have had a car for some time, done tons of maintenance yourself it is a special moment.

I guess this is sort of like the "mile high" club for Millenia owners. Too bad the moment couldn't be more eventful than driving alone on a road with your camera ... just so you can snap a picture of that famous moment.

Yea, I pulled over on Rt 80 on my way home from work. Didn't think it would be a good idea to try to snap a picture while doing 65.

105 miles a day, roundtrip, commuting to/from work... that can rack up the miles pretty quickly.

200K is something worth aspiring to. Post your car's picture when you join the club!
