Remote start

Hey guys, I inherited a remote starter and Ill install it on my milly, it came off a old sunfire, the wiring from 2000 Mazda Millenia Alarm, Remote Starter, Keyless Entry Wiring Information looks pretty complete as for the all the power, starter, light ect. I have the installation manual of the remote start as well,


My question is, Is there a chip in our key which would require me a by pass module for it to start properly and not shut down right away, as a security fonction?? My kit came with a pass lock but no instruction for it, I dont think it was used in the pontiac as it was all tuked togeter, but then again 3 wire where sticking more than other, if any one installed one if you have any info it would be apreciated, all im concerned about is the key bypass if it needs it.

No. There is thankfully no chip in the key! The hardest part about installing the remote starter will be reaching the wires to the ignition. So your good.

Alright thanks for the quick anwser, ill see if I can take notes and make a little DIY if anyone else wants to install one
