Question Need Millenia S / miller cycle mechanic in MD

'01 Millenia S - bought for my son, last summer. Beautiful car: Black/grey, chrome 17s, leather, new S/C. power everything, BOSE, moon-roof, etc.

Typical issue happening, yet, again: limp home mode; TCS off and TCS light comes on; vacuum hoses, ABV and other Solenoids" ....blah, blah. I don't have the time, skills, and patience required to fix it myself. Don't trust, nor can I afford dealers.

Need a reputable mechanic knowledgeable w/ this engine and issue. Would prefer someone close to the Baltimore area.

I'd like to sell it, and get something less complicated, with better fuel economy so if you're familiar w/ these issues, make me an offer, or let's trade.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, in advance.

What do you want for it?
I will be back in the area in 2 weeks.

Admittedly I was tempted but had to pass it up. I don't want my first S to be another project car. Although, all of them seem to be some sort of "mechanic's" special.

i think most of the 2.3 "problem" cars I see now a days I could fix with $20 in hoses and about 2-3 hours to work on it. maybe a new set of plugs at most.

I wish the resale was higher for these cars because I could make a living just buying and fixing these cars lol

ps: go get an S! you wont regret it.

bigb: I, too, think that's all it might need. By any chance, are you in the Delmarva area?

Hi, yel-low,

I've received an email notice that someone replied to this post, but I received an empty message on here.

yel-low: I believe I've already replied to you, about you being in the area. Please let me know if you're still in town. I live in Perry Hall, MD, 21236.

I've received a few offers near my original asking price of $5K, per a local craiigslist ad, but nothing serious. I still have it.

A local tech contacted me via my craigslist ad, and is supposed to be diagnosing it, today. I live on Hickoryhurst Drive, in Perry Hall, MD, 21236. It's parked out front, and currently has Delaware tags. If you're near me, please email me your information, and we'll make arrangements for you to see it. If you're in Perry Hall, feel free to come knock on my door. My house is the one w/ all the other DE tagged vehicles in the driveway.

Thanks,

Marty

Thanks Marty but unfortunately I am no longer interested. $5K is too rich for my blood for any "S" no matter what year or mileage. Problematic cars to say the least...
I'm elbows deep in rebuilding my Audi A6... I would never be able to find the time to bring your car back up to speed.

Yel-Low is that you who's posting a lot of Millenia parts on Craigslist for the DC area? I used to search for "Millenia" a lot in the past on Craiglist, but stopped so that I wouldn't be tempted to buy something I shouldn't. However, the posted ad mentions some engines, transmissions, etc. - on pallets.
