That is one of three possible things. First is a collapsed hydraulic lifter. Second is a bad timing belt tensioner.
The third is rod knock. This happens on the 2.5 when it is starved of oil and spins the bearing.

Both the tensioner and hydraulic lifter sounds typically go away as you rev the engine. Yours sounds to get worse. Its hard to say without actually being there and inspecting your engine.

Sound this engine not worth it, found new engine with 130,000 miles out 97 millenia with new timing belt, water pump, tensor, and tune up for 515.00 cash.

That's not too bad for a whole engine. Before you buy I would first make sure it is not rod knock. If it turns out to be just a bad tensioner then you could put that $500 towards a timing belt job on your current motor and be just fine.

I be honest, I'm deaf but not hear well since I was born. Who will hear better if that timing belt tensor? My dad just red neck and hate figer out. He told me engine must replace.

All wires already disconnect. Can engine and transmission come out top or bottom. I have engine lift.

If you are willing to take the timing covers off then you can manually check the tensioner by putting pressure on it with your hand. If you feel any play at all then you know its bad. A "mechanics stethoscope" is a great CHEAP tool that you can use to pin point where the sound is coming from.

The engine and trans can be removed from the top with an engine lift if you take the hood off. You might want to get a load leveler for your crane to help you even things out once you remove all the mounts.

All the belts have to come off as well as the water pump pulley.

Ok, I did that but belt pulley nut won't lose and there is ALOT OIL every where. I go head change motor myself and sell old engine for 400 buck?

How I can take axle off on the transmission? I remove all wires and hose off engine but I see some hoses under engine , that have to remove too?

My friend I would love to help you pull that motor but unfortunately that job is a bit too complex to explain properly over a post on this forum. It is not a hard job at all but the time I would take to explain everything in detail virtually would just be too much. You should find someone locally that can give you a hand or find a manual that could walk you along.

Best of luck!
