Default Any Rally fans out there?

Is anyone else excited for the start of the new season for Rally America? If you have never been to a rally it is probably the most intense form of racing there is. Look at the website chances are there will be one somewhat close to you. Michigan is coming up at the end of this month. Sorry for the random post just wanted to see how many rally fans are on the site. Hmm it would be funny to build a Milly up for it, that would turn some heads!

Not a rally fan personally, but I applaud the effort to bring back some discussion to the forum

Yea its kinda boring to get on here now. The only new threads are questions about fixing things. We need more posts that bring new things to the table or project questions. Napa and Auto Zone are very good at fixing things. Not to say this forum Is not a good source for all types of questions, there are just a lot less entertaining convos now.

MUtiger I Was... a rally fan..back in the days..my car was a '71 beetle, with front disc brakes from a kG an rear( biger&wider than standard) from a type 2 square back, front swaybars & gabriel shocks...not me to be a raser, but I was one of the racing buddy to James Stieger an internatinal competitor for the latin cahmpionship ( his sister did well in her Volvo S/W..James used his "company car" a datsun 510 the whole year as his campaign car !!!..
Well, I agree is one of the enjoyable motor sports that is, no doubt..Still my prefered motorsport is still & 4 ever motorbike racing ..not only for the courage of the pilot when swinging a leg over his machines to confront a kill/or die sports.. also cosider the tech involve, media, Winning here is all
Personally I will not consiter a millenia for this unless u go to very extensive
involvent with suspensiion, tires , etc.. & of course..a good racing anager

I believe this one is slowly transitioning into a rally race vehicle.

Ahahaha!!! too funny T2T i can only Imagine the amount of people that would be talking **** when that thing flew down the dirt road. Wil I have to say those old beetles can **** well hold there own in rally. ive seen a few do pretty good. No where close to new Renaults and such but I saw a guy run butter than a mazdaspeed3 and some civics and alike cars. Your right the amount of work to convert the car to a real rally competitor is almost impossible but would be very funny. It would be a shame to put that many rock chips in a Milly.

I watch it when I can. I love it though, the skill and car control is simply incredible. I would love to get into it when I have a more steady income and a Subie.

After i graduate from college I'm gonna buy a car and start the process of making a rally worthy machine. STI is a great choice for sure
