Angry 2000 milly s stalling

Hi, I have a 00 Mazda Millenia S. I have replaced the EGR valve sensor, the map sensor, the mass flow sensor, and the TPS sensor, and also the crank shaft sensor, and still it does the same thing! When I accelerate fast, it stalls, but if I let go of the gas pedal, and then accelerate slowly until it picks up speed, the car runs great, but forgot to mention no check engine light is on! Is there someone who knows what is wrong with this car? and it all started one day i was at a stop and hit the gas hard and it stalled i still drive it everyday but if you start out in 1st gear and get the rpm up around 3k then you can floor it but if your sitting at a stop you have to push on the gas very very light to get it going if you push just a 1/2in it will stall

I've had my '02 for a year and just discovered today that some of my vaccuum hoses are mis-routed and a check-valve is backwards. I've read of some similar symptoms as yours while searching this site - you might search the Millenia threads that have the word "stall" in them. And are you sure that the light bulb of your check-engine light is not burned out? It should illuminate when the key goes to the on position but before starting the engine. You could take it to an auto parts store and check for diagnostic trouble codes logged in the engine computer to be sure. Also, when you say it stalls, does the engine completely die?

My most recent Millenia S trouble was kind of like yours. There was a stall upon fast acceleration, but the engine didn't completely shut off. The "TCS" and "TCS Off" lamps on the dashboard lit up after that, which I learned means the computer is running in "limp mode" and could be related to the air bypass valve not working right. There was noticeably less power available in this mode, and I wasn't able to go 75 mph. This happened three or four times in a row, but driving the car more gently I didn't see limp mode except for that one day. With the vaccuum hose errors, I hopefully am close to getting to the bottom of some of my nagging problems, which do keep my check engine light on with 3 DTCs right now. You could read the thread I most recently posted for more details and see if anything seems to apply to your situation.

You can find the vaccuum hose diagram on milleniatech.net. There's also a link there to a scanned manual in pdf. A figure (I think it was in the manual) shows part location and is helpful to look at also while trying to match valves and hoses up with those on the vaccuum circuit diagram. If you try to follow the hoses, you'll notice that hose length is not indicated by the lengths on the diagram. Some of them that are drawn as though they were very long are really very short. The diagram is to show the connectivity only. This site has a lot of great info and some people willing to help do frequent it.

Good luck solving your problem!
