I think you can really wait forever for a car....

Personally I'd get a two year old Protege or a demo or something that's taken a depreciation hit... when the Mazda3 comes out, then you can sell that at not so much of a loss, and by the time you have saved, can jump into the next one

But personally, I wouldn't wait if you need a car. If you don't need a car, then stick with what you've got until the 3 comes out... who knows, maybe you'll be able to afford something better at that point?*
What I currently have is taking the bus Hence, the desire for a car to save time

It's a tough decision because the Protege is an excellent car. However, the Mazda 3 will be faster and a new design. The Mazda 3 is expected to come as early as later this year, though I'd say that it will be here early next year. For more info, check out my post about the MX-Sportif, the concept version of the Mazda 3, in the Week in the life of Mazda forum, in a thread called Your stories - May 2003.

Thanks for the info.

I did read your post on the MX-Sportif in the news forum. Good stuff

I've been trying to find pic of the sedan too, but no luck..

In any case, I'm not a huge fan on the current protege style, so this change will be good for potential buyers like me. The interior looks *great*.. reminds me of an audi..

I've got some photos but don't know how to post them.

However, you can check out the AutoBild Homepage and you'll find what you're searching for by clicking on 'zur Galerie'.

Quite frankly none of the manufactures are being truley innovative, if you look closely they all adopt the same styles and trends.................
