1988 323 fi check engine light...why???

hey my car is a 88 323 fi dx 1.6l 5 speed with 194k on it. the check engine light comes on after afew mins of run time. i dont know why, so i shut it off and restart it and it seems to do the trick lol. any ideas wht its coming on o2 sensor,codes??

check the main fuses under the hood in the little black fuse box make sure they're good

You might try disconnecting the negative battery cable from the battery terminal for 10 seconds before reconnecting it back to your battery. This practice will reset everything and possibly the check engine warning light will go away. If not, the check engine light could also be an indication that you will need to replace the O2 sensor. Not a difficult or expensive job on your car.
