Thinking of buying a one-owner 2003 5. Has 75000 miles and was dealer maintained. Auto-Trans. Is this car/engine/trans capable of 200K miles when cared for properly? Any trans issues I should keep an eye out for? This car will be used for 100 miles a day commute at 60~80 MPH. Does this engine use a timing belt? Anything real off the wall for regular maintenance? I've owned Mazda for 25 years, last little one was a GLC FWD (81) and I couldn't kill it. This car seems to be a good little commuter special. Auto-trans needed due to nasty traffic.

is it necessary to look for a 2003 to 5 model? or some other relevant model may also be provided to you.

older929 I currently own a 2003 MP5 and I love it. I just recently chaanged my motor mounts (all 4) and was fairly inexpensive (only $650). It does run with a timing belt. But however it is a used car and make sure you look at everything you can befor purchasing. Look at breaks, wheel berrings, motor mounts, power steering lines, break lines, everything. Mine is a manuel however, but it is a great little waggon, perfect for daily commutes. I drive about 75 miles daily between work and school. Good car, and easy to work on.
