2001 626 2.0 not starting
This problem is random as ****. My gf's 626 about every 6-8 weeks will randomly decide not to start. No cranking, all initial lights come on like normal though. It is not environmental, has happened when 100* and when it was 70*. Has been driven for a few min, then shut off for a couple and wont start and has been driven for an hour, shut off for a couple hrs then wont start. Unfortunatley I am never around when it happens and by the time I get there it starts. No check engine light. Trying to explain to her that taking it to even the most honest mechanic is a waste of money as the problem is not present and all they can do is guess. Any guesses or experience with this? I am thinking a possible dead spot in the starter... want to smack it with a hammer when it doesnt start but like i said, i get there and it starts.
