YO, i wanna be cheap and take out my stock head unit out instead of getting a proffessionql to do it, so i went to auto zone bought sum universal radio removal tools and the **** dont werk. all i that i had accomplised was ripping off the face plate of the cd and tape player, can anybody tell me how to get it out? do i need to remove the whole center console and ****?

In the 88-91 theres 2 bolts located in behind the stereo, you have to reach around and undo them, then it should slide out

9ine Duece,

how did you connect ur head unit up? did u use a wiring harness, splice it or did it come with the car when u got it? I need help with wiring the ******* and it's a bitch to know what cables go where. I wanna learn how to do this shiz myself as i'm told that it's relatively easy once you get the hang of it.

I bought the Mazda wiring harness kit, pretty straight forward from there, almost makes you a professional...
