I will be traveling from Halifax 6000kms back to Vancouver in early May what should I look for before I leave, what things do I need to check over. Im replacing my radiator soon cause the JB Weld hasnt fixed the leak too well. I did a full tune up last July and I will do an oil change in a couple of weeks. What else should I look for ???

Tires, of course. Everything else depends on how thorough your tune-up was. I'd still look at the brake fluid and power steering fluid systems to make sure there's nothing amiss. Have your air conditioning system checked as well, especially if you've never replaced the Freon. (There's no need to replace it if it still works, but you just want to make sure that it's not causing a drag on the engine.)

That's about all I can think of...good luck on the trip!

don't forget the little details too, wiper blades, fluid levels, all that jazz, you don't want to be so concerned about major stuff (brakes, suspension, the usual) that you oversee something that will cost you time and annoyance once you head out.

I made that trip a few times, well to Calgary anyway 5000KM and it isn't much fun, are you going through canada or the states, states is much faster)

about the tire issue, I have 25-30% left on my summer tires/rims, is that enough to make it there ?

Im going through Canada, I heard the going through the states only saves you a few hours
