I have an 89. I'm wondering what the offset and bolt pattern are. I've heard that RX-7 rims work on the car, is that true?

I'm just trying to figure out what I'm going to put on it to make it handle a little better and give better curb appeal.

Thanks.

i would think the rx-7 rims would be too small. i believe your bolt pattern is 5x114.3

RX7 rims are 114.3 x 5, so are the 929's

I have the 10lb BBS (vert) mesh rims off the convertible RX7, they are 15x6.5" and I use 205/60/15 tires. The only problem is that the center bore from the RX7 is smaller than the 929, so you will have to get them bored out, it cost me $120 Canadian.

Handling is difference is very noticible, my braking and cornering improved too, and it gives the 929 a way better apperance, I know that from expierience...

I think the best option for you is to get the mesh style rims from the 92-95 929 or any other, it will save you the hassle of boring them out. Also dont get wider than 205 but the best size is the 205/60/15, (I dont think I can even fit 215 on mine cause the RX7 offset is too small

Thanks guys. I didn't know that the RX-7 wheels needed to be bored out, thats good to know. I think I may have found a 929 S in a local junkyard so I'll have to go see what the rims look like.
