I have the same problem with my regulators . Everyone I know that owns a 929 have the same issue. The problem is the wire in the regulator that pulls the windows up and down, after a while it will get tangled on the regulator motor. I took my regulators out and they all had the same problem, the motor works but the wire is all tangled up.Once this happens all you can do is get new ones. I got mines on Ebay $49.95 for the front passenger and $77.95 for front drivers side. I don't the the price for the rear. If you still need diagrams of how to remove the door panel and regulator just let me know and I'll post some PICS.

First to remove the panel you need to remove the screws
In the PIC

1. This is the screw that is inside the door handle
2. There is a screw or for some of you it may be some sought of clip you will need to remove it.
3. Inside the armrest/door handle you will find the third screw.

Once you have those removed then the panel is ready to come off

Ok you will try to take it off and it won't budge that is because all around the door panel has clips. To remove the clips I used a flat head screw driver, place it under the panel and I pop the clips then you will be able to remove the panel.Note it may be a little hard but you may need to put some muscle in it to get the clips out. Once you get the panel off you will see the connectors for the windows, light , ETC. These are simple to remove just press the clip and pull.

Once you have the clips removed then your door should look similar to this

Bolts number 1 to 6 holds the regulator

The rest should be easy to follow on your own
If you need more details let me know

Once you unbolt the regulator you will need to push the window down, and look in the open space where the number 1 is ( see pic ). You will push down on the window till you see the two bolts that are holding the window to the regulator.

Note: I had to cut my regulator wires in order to push the window down. You can see the wire in the pic by the number 4
If you already have a replacement regulator then this is not a problem but if you are like me and you don't have your regulator yet , then if you cut the wire you will have to used screws to hold the window up till you get the replacement.

Once you remove the bolts then you can slide the window off the regulator.
Now all you have to do is push on the regulator number 2 on pic. Till the bolt come out of the holes number 3 on pic.

For me I had to put some muscle on it to get the bolts out of the hole

Note: Watch out for the metal on the Door, it is sharp and go will through your skin like a hot knife through butter.

Once you get the bolts out you should be able to get the regulator to go horizontal.
Then just slide it through hole number 4 in PIC.

If you guys need more info I'll take more detailed PIC tomorrow

Thanks. Pushing the window down for the 2 bolts is what I was missing. By the way. When I worked on mine it functioned a couple of times then stopped again. Is this how the failure normally works. The motor is good it just doesnt do anything. But like I said I did get it to work about 3 times by messing with it with the panel off.

For me, before I took mines out ( front Passenger ) I tried it and it went down and up, I tried it a few more time and it worked so I thought it fixed itself. The next Week it stopped working it would only go down an inch and barely make it back up. So I took the regulator out and then I took the plastic cover thats on the motor off. Thats when I found the problem the wire was wrapped around the motor wheel and it got trapped behind the protective plate ( same thing problem with the rear ). So it is possible for it to work but sooner or later it will fail.

Thx for posting the pics. How long did it take you to replace the regulator. I might attempt to do this next weekend.

The front passenger did not take long almost as long as it took me to remove it. I had a little problem getting the glass back on the regulator but it was still easy.
The drivers side I did not do yet. I'm suppose to receive my after market replacement either wed or thursday so i figure it should be as easy as the other side if I have any issues i'll post pics.

Should take 45 minutes at the most it took me about 30 minutes because of the glass thing.
