Right you are 9ine, as usual. I was going by memory from one that I pulled from a 929 in a junkyard about a year ago, but I don't recall the year. I looked at mine and it's on the right side, just as you describe. Man, there must be a dozen wires going into and out of that little box! For what it's worth, if I was changing out the HU, I'd forget it and run new wires all round.

I am in the Atlanta, GA area and would like to know where I could possibly get a CD wire harness for a factory OEM AM/FM/cassette unit with CD changer (in dash face- trunk mounted changer), or from what aftermarket sources. None of the salvage yards seem to have this particular item, others want the harness numbers. I have the radio harness (I have three radios), but nothing for the CD unit. I therefore cannot GIVE a harness number for a harness I don't have. The local dealer wants $800.00 plus dollars to do this job. The local stereo shops claim the factory harness is a dealer only part. HELP!!

What year/model (929?) is the "OEM AM/FM/cassette unit with CD changer (in dash face- trunk mounted changer)" from? And you have 3 radios (?) to choose from, or harnesses? Sorry, but it would help if you could tell us that you want to connect a HU from a XXXXXX to a CD changer model XXXXXX in a 19?? Mazda ????, or something more specific. Provide some details and we'll go from there.
