i got my car about 7 months ago. it is a great little car. the only thing is when the brakes are applied i here this clunking sound and my brakes squeak. today i took off my tire and checked the breaks but there was about 1/2 a pad left. can anyone give me some info on this?? and i was wondering if anyone knew of where i could get some ground effects for it or a body kit. it is an 88 929.

My 1988 does the same thing. I think it is caused by not using OEM replacements pads. It does not seem to effect stopping performance on my car. If I replace mine again I will use OEM parts and see if that solves it.

well this is the problem with 929
after market parts are rare. i've been told that you can custom fit an acura body kit to a 929 but i don't have any documentation on how to.

i do remember seeing a body kit on some website i'll look around and see what i find

I have the same clunking sound sometimes too with my 89, I think its a sticking caliper, I just overhauled my brakes with new rotors and ceramic pads and its still doing the same thing as it did before I changed the brakes

there are NO body kits for this generation 929, there are few out there but they have been custom made and yes the first gen Acura Legend kit will fit with some customization. Im sure there are kits along with many other body parts in Japan but good luck getting them....

yeah i have seen an 88 929 with a body kit. you probably saw the same one i did. i saw that red one with the 17" rims and the neon lights and the custom trunk. i also heard that you could fit an acura legend body kit on a 929 but it is just hard to find one of those. i didnt know if any other body kits would work like from other imports. i dont want a ricer but i do want to make my car look decent. right now my car is just stock ****. nothing special to it. if you got any ideas that i could use to make my car look decent let me know. thank for all the info. i appreciate it.

On the pads try to get the anti rattle clips it helps with the slack of the pad. Also try the backing adhesive
