most computers get reset by pulling the battery power for a minute or two. After you start the car let it idle for a little bit, load the car with every electical thing possible and then take it for a drive after 5 mins of idling. OH and the most important part is not to touch the gas pedal. Well at least that how i reset the comp on my other cars i've never done it on the 929.

The manual online is in the link posted above, its for the HD, the HC manuals a little harder to get you have to scope them out on e-bay like this one

Dmeetro - How come you have to load the car with all the electrical imtems on after reseting ?

Whats the deal with not touching the gas pedal ?

Thats the reset procedure for the Sho. The yamahammer engine doesn't have idle adjust screw its computer adjusted, so to reset to idle you have to reset the computer. Thats the deal with not touching the gas pedal. The electrical load is just so computer knows the max load i guess. There is a lot more to the procedure but i found that the things people add are really unnecessary, like turnign steering wheel left to right and pressing brake pedal. The most important things are to unhook the comp and then let it idle.

I read that just the brake for 10 sec after reconecting the batt is good for the 929.

But I understand where Dmeetro is coming from. On my '89 Eldoraldo, I had to turn turn everything on, set in drive for 5 min, turn everything off, set in each gear for an add. 2 min. Oh and I forgot, I had to run the fucking A/C for 5 min too. If I blew it off, would run like **** for over 30 miles.

Step away from the computer and smack yourself silly for a while...Come back and look at what you asked...Repeat self smacking until the answer is obvious.
