Hey Isa,
very nice, I sorta half wish I kept looking for a series 2 but I'm happy with my HC, most of the time :-)

Anyways, who else here on this forum is from Australia? Lets make a list of the locals here with your location so we can develope an all aussie support network. What do we all think? Thanks.[/b]

Gday fellow Aussies!, about 4 weeks back I bought an" 86 Mazda 929 Hardtop", 5 Speed, Turbo, 2 litre Injected but am still having problems?? I have changed the Spark Plugs, set the timming, New Air filter, New Fuel Filter and its still not right?. Its going through what I consider a fair bit of petrol( especially considering its only a 4 cyl motor!, for the first 3 weeks I was only getting 260 Kms from half a tank( 30 litres!) surely thats not right??? and this is driving slow to see how much mileage I can achieve.

It had the"Oxygen Sensor"knocked off when I bought it, I fitted a new one last weekend and now the motor Idles with a "miss"???, take the sensor off and the "miss" goes away W.T.F???!!! I re-set the computer( or so I think?) and its the same and worse is its used more fuel this week. The miss would have made the fuel consumption higher I guess? all I can think of is perhaps she needs new "Igintion Leads" as it looks like the original ones from 86 are still onboard?!.

I started another thread on this here http://forums.mazdaworld.org/index.php?showtopic=19945 but I posted here too in the hope some of the aussies may see this too and be of help?. I bought the Mazda as a cheap work/ runabout car but its not really turning out cheap to run?, may need some more tuning up??, I have an "76 S.L.R Torana" running a 5 Litre( 308) so the mazda was purchased as a cheaper way of transport so I have to sort this out as its a daily driven car!

gday guys n gals....

i picked this vehicle up about 2 weeks ago....

i have bigish plans for it as i love it....

car is running sweet but i think the engine is a little tired....

it has electronic boost controller n boost gauge....
i have a set of dished black face 18" rims sitting in the boot and back seat for it....
respray to either black or purple with blue flake....
i also have a garret that is rated for 250hp in a 2L sitting in my shed....
exhaust, intercooler/BOV, etc....

cheers rhys
