So there is no difference in the length of the HC gearbox vs FC ?
[/b]
yes, the HC 5 speed and the FC 5 speed are the same length and come up in the same spot.

yea I am a young buck, but I ain't no dumbass. Yea these are my dad's cars. We already got like 3 929S's and a shitload of parts for them, so Its not gonna be a question of what car I'm getting in 2008. I'm workin on the CAI and also have some LED tails in the works and some power folding mirrors I found at a junkyard. So I'm keeping updated off of you guys. Plus your friendlier than the guys over at toyotacressida.net.

I would highly doubt you really need to change the crossmember. Hardly ever does a car that came with more than one motor choice have many differences in mounting. Not saying its not possible(have you compared?), but I'd willing to bet you would be good to go, maybe some minor modifications.
[/b]
man with mazda anything is possible.

things like the same shape car (as an example the FD rx7)has 3 major and 3 minor wiring mods over the course of the run of the vehicle.

series 1/2/3 rx7 brake and hub components are completely different (so is there wiring).
same for fc wiring there is 2 different wiring looms through the progress of that car.

for something that is a simple bolt on part, i would never assume something to be the same for mazda. been caught out time and time again.

the only way to find out is try. were just giving the guy the heads up.

Too many people are releying on Wikipedia. Do you know that anyone can write an answer ?

I think the TT 13B in the FD made 227HP. The 20B makes 280+HP...
[/b]
In wikipedia's defense, Yes, anyone CAN write something, but it HAS to be sourced and proven, otherwise they will edit it out.

The 13B-REW makes 255hp in the states.

Just because an engine is more powerful stock, doesn't mean its an overall better motor(in this case it *generally* is considered better, or the combination). What is not equal stock can be made up easily with the same/bigger turbo upgrades. ****, thats why there is a car scene at all...

eh i'm gonna have to disagree with you there, the 13b-rew is a lot more finicky than a 13b-t from an FC.

is the 13b rew the same as the renisis ? I hear nothing but horror stories about that engine, some people running big power in their Rx8 swap in an FC engine.

13BREW is the twin turbo motor in the 92-04 Series 6~8 FD RX7. Renesis is the non turbo motor in the RX8. Pretty big differences in the porting too.
