Matsuda 9 - A few years back there was a member on here (88JFTsumthin...) and I spoke to him on the phone a few times. He had originally swapped a JFT motor in place of the JE. I asked him if the manifolds and parts would swap over the to 3L engine and he said they would. He also said he went to great trouble to make the JFT parts fit on our LHD HC's. Eventually his HC put down 230 HP to the wheels with bolt-ons, and it wasnt even tuned right. Finding parts was a bitch so he swapped in a 13B and told me hit easily hit 150MPH.

This was the JFT car and the best picture I got out of him. Too bad he dont post anymore.

gangster929 - Ill take 6 cylinders over 4 any day.

True, but the internal capacity is still only 2lt. so no matter how many cylinders youve got, the 2.2lt turbo 4cly is till bigger than the 2lt turbo 6cly.

aahhh.... torsen LSDs from GURU. i've put a lot of effort getting those on the market for MX6.com croud, just to be shafted. somewhat happy that have no 626 no more, don't have to assosiate with that croud.(no offence)

from the physical size JF turbo is smaller then on F2.

6 is better balanced then 4, however the best 6es are in FWD platforms for mazda, 60` V, fantasticly balanced, smooth power and torque.

the JE and JF are thesame, JF is udnersquare where JE is perfect square. the only difference between the two is the stroke. i have spare JF-T so imthinking of getting JE short block and compare internals with JF, maybe get away with using pistons, then again, might push JF till it blows. would be intersting where the limit is.
