The Trunk release button in my '94 HD stopped working. The gas door release is right next to it and works fine. Checked the fuses and nothing obvious. Any suggestions?
On another topic altogether, the front end of my car squeals when I turn sharply in either direction (left or right). Is that just a lube issue or is something else going on? Thanks for your help. - Jeff |

how are your trunk shocks? Do you hear the latch clicking? Have youi tried opening with the key?
Have somebody pushing the button while you pull up on the trunk. |

Inspect you fan/drive belts... if loose, tighten.... if screwed, replace them

the safety lock is in the center console box. its a little switch that is used to disable the trunk release button. whit it is for is so that if you park your car or have it valeted you flip the switch and lock the center console box and then no one can get in your trunk(i have proven different)

the buttons under the arm rest in my 1991 HD (Australia) are two buttons which dont move, and the one closer to the driver is the air purifier.
NOTE: *Fixed* The alarm button in my glovebox had to be on for the trunk release to work. So if you had turned off your alarm button turn it back on for the release to work. My alarm dont work anyway, so its all good. haha cheers for the glovebox tip someone. really helpful! |
