Nothin really happing with my wheels/camber lately. The dummys at the tire shop ordered me the wrong sized tires so yet another delay. Im breaking out the heat gun and metal pipe this week in preparation for the wheels. Camber bolts should be going in when I pick up my tires.

Today I finally got my **** together & attempted to get some real work done on my car. First thing up was the camber bolts, there was no chance that the wheels would fit up front without a camber adjustment. I took my ride down to a buddys shop & had the bolts mounted, it was eyed up for maximum negative camber. The work was straight forward & by the time it was said & done, to the naked eye positive camber was absent . When I backed off the engine hoist & tried to eye it up compared to the OEM specs, I could tell that the camber was in the negative region. As for how much camber adjustment there was, it was hard to tell. I would guess that it sits somewhere between 0 & 0.5 negative camber up front, I wont know for sure till I get an alignment. As for driving impressions, I noticed right away that the turn in feel had different characteristics then compared to before. It deffinetly makes for better handling with just a minor adjustment.
17x8 front wheels mounted on one side showing camber ![]() it doesnt look like positve camber, but how negative is it ? ![]() The tires arrived, they were mounted & balanced & the final product was not the stretch I wanted. I ****** around & decided that more rubber between the pavement & my wheels was safer for my needs. I wanted a set up that I could trust for my 4500km journey this summer. So that meant I would go with 215/45/17 on my 17x8 fronts & 225/45/17 on the 17x9 rears. Big mistake, I knew off the top the the wheels were pretty extreme but my choice for tire size was not. I had some practice fender rolling work to do before I mounted the wheels. I gathered all my tools which I would need for the job ahead. Heat gun, pipe, ball peen hammer, rubber mallet & a practice run on my parts car. The actual fender rolling didnt seem to bad, preventing cracking paint was my first priority. The rear fenders have a double lip but it didnt seem to phase the heat gun & hammer. I managed to bang the lip flush with the fender but it would only net another 3-4mm of clearnace. Time to see how the wheels fit first... The rear wheels looked massive, the 225 width tires meant a mild stretch. The lip was not exposed as much as I wanted, which means trouble ahead. My first thoughts was that I should of gone with 215's in the rear. After bolting them up, I wasnt so sure that a 215 would of been narrow enough to clear these 929 fenders. I quickly realized that the HC cant quite accommodate wheels like larger Japanese sedans. The tires were just too massive to squeeze under the rear fenders. Rear camber is already pretty decent but not enough for this set up. It was so bad that I didnt even need to start my car up to see if it rubs. I almost felt like I was trying to mount staggered wheels on a FWD car. only body work will save me here... ![]() This lead me to my first question - Is there an adjustment for anymore negative camber in the rear ? So at this point Im pretty pissed off, Im deffinetly not rolling down to the local car show this sunday with my wheels on. My next attempt was to mount the front wheels on the rear & see how much clearance I have with an 8" wheel. The 215 tires I choose for this set up was even more of a mild stretch than my 225 on a 9". Again this spelled trouble when I mounted them up. The rims did not fit, & only had a chance if I rolled the fenders, but this wasnt garunteed without more camber. It started to hail/rain really bad here & it was already close to the freezing mark so I was losing motivation by the second. ![]() So the rears dont fit on the rear, & the front dont fit on the rears, fuckin eh. I managed to mount the other front wheel on the front for the first time & see if would clear. Just like the rears, they are too massive for the front fenders. Im thinking with a 205 tire, fender roll, more camber (coilover kit), I should have a chance. The pictures speak for themselves. does it really look like any negative camber ? ![]() i should have used the 17x9 for this shot ![]() final product that doesnt work ![]() My final thoughts were selling the wheels/tires, but its just too early to throw the towel in. I know that I do have the option of dicking around & ordering the 205's while rotating the front tires to the rear. I could roll all fenders but fitament is still not garunteed. Im not exactly sure how much I could pull the fenders but spending another $500+ on body work is not in my plans. My next step is undecided...

<div align="left"> Oh shittttt!!!!!!!!! Lookin' sic as helllllll. Good news about the chamber bolts, looks like you're at something like +.5~ -.5 up front. I can't wait to put mine in, considering you're results. The fenders look like they need a little pull. The 929 would look better with more of a flare to the fenders, like on the newer Jettas. Over all looks great, rims are bad ass. I say stick with the tires you got on it now and make the car fit them, that's VIP. Anyway it's always better to have more meat on your tires.
I still think you should put the series 1 bumper back on b/c it doesn't match the rear series 1 bumper but that's just me. If you're interested, I can look into getting you the Potentia rear bumper with the lip. I think the Potentia rear bumpers are one piece not 3 piece like the USDM bumpers. Just let me know. It would be nice to find this body kit: http://drift.iptime.org/drift/bbs/da...a/img_6244.jpg I think the chamber is adjustable, I'll look it up and send you the info. What car is the white one behind yours?

Im waiting till I get my car painted to mount the rear bumper. I am still interested in the rear lip.
The white car is my bro's 91' Infiniti G20. Heres a shot before the full body paint.
