Okay guys, this was mentioned in a previous post but
WHEN CHANGING THE TIMING BELT ON A 929 WITH JE48 DOHC ENGINE, IF YOU REMOVE THE CRANK SPROCKET & FORGET WHICH WAY IT GOES BACK ON ----- MAKE SURE THE FLANGE ON THE SPROCKET IS FACING THE RADIATOR, NOT THE ENGINE OR YOU WILL NOT START THE ENGINE. I removed mine to change the crank seal & went through many hours of head scratching before finding the previous post & also finding the picture of a mouse caught in a timing belt. Thanks!! Hopefully this will save someone else from some grief. Cheers! DannyMac |
