also got the car from a guy who let it sit in his garage for a year before i got it .......the battery terminal has some corrosion on them ........this happened to me once before while driving all i did was turn it off and turned back on quickly and problem was fixed.....also at time when i go over to turn on it would just die so ill would ave to from time to time pop the hood and move around the negative terminal and starts right back up

could the power loss be because of a faulty battery or messed up terminals or even a alternator problem.....tow man just dropped off the car and said it might be the fuel pump and if it was the fuel pump how can i tell its in working order thanks everyone for tryin to help me out....its my only car i have to get to work and i got my first little baby on the way

Have someone sit under the rear of the car, very close to the gas tank. Turn the key to the "ON" position, if the person hears the pump turn on and prime its good. If they don't hear it turn on, then it isn't working.

I don't the battery has anything to do with it, because you said it turns over after it died.

thanks man thanks alot .........also do you think since its been cold here about 30 degrees in the night with no garage or car port that since that battery was sitting for a year and i havent changed it for a additional 4 months that it has been sitting that it has gone bad???? all it did was just kept cranking and cranking at a slower pace rather than its normal start but now battery is just dead

could be but -

a hold button will only flash if there is something wrong with the auto..

an auto can play with the motor ecu if it gives the right codes across to the ecu..
