I am looking into batteries right now for my 929, and I can not for the life of me seem to find what amount of CCA's I need. I have found them for hondas and almost everything else, but not my car.

Can anyone help me out here?

Get the most you can in the standard size (if its still in standard location). But ideally you should have 450-550.

I have 680cca but mine is in the boot, so i have made a tray to take a flatter and wider European style battery that has a its ventilating pipe to vent to outside the cabin.

^^^^^^^^
agreed.
i just bought a new battery a couple of weeks ago and its rated at 550CCA.
ur other alternative could be a dry cell battery. a lot of the time they are smaller (more expensive) but much more powerful and can take a lot of knocks too, which is probably a good thing since your gonna be using ur HC out on the track.

Wow, 950 CCA is a bit over board.

I guess I will end up going with a optima red top, and suffice with a 34# battery

This is smaller one (stated for europe/australia)

CCA:460

Myself i Use Exide Blue top (got good price at the time)

Model: ORB34DC-48 ORBITAL -BLUE
Amps: 50Ah (i think)
CCA:700-800

The reality is, unless you have a big stereo or something, any battery that will turn over the engine easily should suffice. But if you want to do slides and things then a dry cell like the others have is definitely the best, cause it cant get shaken up or leak or fume or anything else.
Just depends on your budget, i looked into them a lot but there's no way i could have afforded one at $450 AUS (im sure some of you have contacts though)

I will be running a gel or dry cell battery, that is fully sealed. Because the car will see lots of bumps and ****.

I was however looking for a battery that was under 30#, optima redtops are 34#'s which I dont really need.

My car has no radio, and none of that garbage. It may when I am finished, but I doubt it.
