The metal pipes that lead from the tramsmission to the radiator have started to leak. Luckily I caught everything in time. I have replacement pipes thast were intended for my other 929 but if I have to I'll use them on this one. Anybody replaced these pipes before? How much of a bitch is it to get at the transmission end of the pipes? The leak is near the front of the pipes and I could cut out the bad section and replace it with hose all the way from the radiator to the cut-off ends. Is there much pressure in these lines? Will a regular hose clamp be enough to hold a good seal. The pipes are still obtainable at about US$100.00 but the car itself is probably going to be sold if I can get the other running.
If anyone's got some hints or tips how th=o make this messy job go a little easier please pass them along.
Thanks Much

Yeah they rust up in the front always b/c that is the part that is exposed to the elements. Regular hose clamps will be fine. The shop that replaced the lines on my white 929 said that to put the factory replacements you have to have the trans out or something. So they routed the lines along the side of the engine near the starter and attached it like stock.

The rubber hose idea should work as well.

im running bundy tube along the chassis rail and using push lock fittings from the box to the tube.

then at the front under the inner guard im running one of these, thermostat controls a relay. relay turns thermo on and off as needed.

as rotary version luce are reknown for cooking the oil in the box easily.. which in tern makes them fail easier

so this way the box gets to regulate its own temps.

box oil will last longer and better protection for the box as temps will be kept down..
