Hi, first post here and asking for help.
My car is a 929 1993 HD RHD and it works OK in low gear (using Drive or Low), but when it auto changes into 2nd (from Drive) it revs high and car starts to slow down until it changes back into 1st again. If I manually put it into 2nd it has high revs and car slows. Reverse is also OK. I have tried with the shift lock off and also on. No difference. There are no waring lights. Since I am getting power in low I assume its not the torque convertor. Tranny fluid is at correct level but it does smell burnt. Your help with this is appreciated. thanks.

The turbine sensor on top of the trans can cause what you describe and they had alot of trouble with the ecat control units. Check it for codes though neither the turbine sensor or ecat unit will always set a code. Turbine sensor is usually the culprit.
